Feed the hungry trash cans with part to whole word relationships! Players can draw conclusions by inductive reasoning- make the link of how a smaller item can part of a larger item
How to play: Print out pages 3 -9. To make the game durable or useful for a long time than laminate these pages.
Once laminated cut out pages 6-9 (trash items) and cut out the mouths on the 3 trash cans. If you like you can attach the trash cans to the front of a tissue box or the like so that when players feed the trash through the mouth the items go into the box. If you don’t have any boxes players can hold their trash cans up and still put the food through the mouths.
Players pick a trash item (spread out on a table) and read the question. All questions are part to whole relationships- what smaller thing is part of a larger thing (e.g. a toe is part of a …… foot). If the player can answer the questions correctly they get to feed their trash can. If they cannot answer the part to whole relationship they return the trash item to the table. The winner is the one who has the most trash items in their trash can at the end of the game!
