Geometry is looking quite different in 4th grade than in years past. Students have to categorize and classify triangles, quadrilaterals and other polygons in different graphic organizers by their sides and angles.
This is a fun free activity sheet where your students can match the clues to the shapes. You can have the students simply match them or cut and paste onto separate paper.
If you like this sheet- you can purchase the whole document which includes 8 practice sheets that challenge your students and ask them to answer questions based on graphic organizers, answer open ended questions as well as multiple choice practice, sort and classify polygons, and answer and justify true/false statements.
There are 8 task/activity cards for students to use pattern blocks and identify angles and lines. Also, a poster of key vocabulary terms for the standard is included too and a sheet of colorful shapes to use if you do not have pattern blocks.
Answer documents are included for teacher quick check or student self-check at centers. Have your students complete the cards at a center, for homework, classwork, or even as an assessment tool.
This document is aligned to Texas Standard 4.6D (readiness) and Common Core 4.G.A.2
