This is a vocabulary organizer that aligns with the McGraw Hill Wonders Reading Series. This vocabulary organizer correlates with the reading story from Unit 4, Week 2, "A Window Into History: The Mystery of the Cellar Window".
This vocabulary organizer includes the definition of the words, a place for students to create their own definition, draw a picture to represent the word, and the sentence from the text that uses the vocabulary word. This will allow students to use context clues to create a more concrete definition of the vocabulary word. Each of these activities are aligned with Marzano's vocabulary instructional strategies.
The vocabulary organizer can be displayed and completed with the entire class. I do this weekly with my vocabulary organizer as I am introducing the words. It is a great way to keep all of my students engaged and participating while we fill in our organizer.
I am posting this organizer as a freebie to let you evaluate the quality of my work. I create these each week. I also create a vocabulary review and word wall cards with the terms on them. These are all available in my vocabulary bundles. By buying them in the bundle, you will receive a discountI hope you enjoy these products. Please be on the lookout for more products related to the Wonders Series. Please remember to leave feedback! Thank you!
