Objective: Students will get to know each other and understand individual differences.
There is a bit of prep time on the teacher’s part, but this activity is well worth it!
Cut bulletin board paper approximately as long as it is wide.
With a marker or sharpie, draw lines like are shown in red on the diagram (shown on instructions page). This allows each of the four students to have their space to write or draw in with a big center space in the center for how they are the same.
*If you have a student aide or parent helper, he/she could do this for you.
In groups of 4, students begin conversations about their likes and dislikes. They will get to know each other and determine how they are the same and different. Through this process, they may better understand individual differences. Being different may not be so bad! They may also discover that they are more the same than different.
