Description
This fun activity combines listening, comprehension, and summarizing skills using familiar children's stories. Designed for grades 3-5 students, this activity could be used as a post-assessment for younger students or pre-assessment for older students as they write one-sentence summaries to show their comprehension of stories that are read aloud to them. This activity is aligned to ELA Common Core standards. An answer key with sample responses is also included.
