Here is a St. Patrick's Day word game that I made for my class. I thought I would share it with you. Enjoy!
Materials Needed: 1 game sheet per pair, 1 paper clip, 2 different colored crayons (one crayon per player), and 1 pencil
Directions: Using a paper clip and pencil, Player 1 spins the letter and number spinners. Player 1 locates that coordinate on the grid and reads the word in that box. If read correctly, the player colors the box. If read incorrectly, the player loses a turn. (If the box has already been colored in, the player loses a turn.) Player 2 continues in the same manner. Players take turns until all of the boxes are filled in. The winner is the player who has the most boxes at the end of the game.
This game makes a great, no-fuss literacy center!
Happy St. Patrick's Day!
