This a fabulous game for review of any topic. This set of questions is all about Texas. It was written for my second graders but could be used from 1st to 4th to review facts. Print out the cards, cut them into strips and put them into a container. Students work in small groups (partners to about 5). Students draw a question out of a can (I use a Pringles can) or envelope. They answer the question if they can. If they answer it correctly, they keep the strip. If they don't get it correct, the group helps answer it or looks up the answer and the strip goes back into the can. The next child then pulls a question and repeats. If a child pulls a KABOOM card, they have to put all their strips back into the can. The students end up answering the same questions over and over, and if they don't get it the first few times, they begin to get it as they go on. The person who has the most strips left when only the KABOOM cards are left "wins".
