It's almost Open House and we are busily getting ready for our parents to come visit the classroom. My class loves to show off what we've learned throughout the year, and making cute cumulative projects go right along with it.
For this project your students need to think of 5 or 6 things that they have enjoyed learning about during the year. In my class we brainstorm full class (I put the subjects on the board, and students use my whiteboard markers to fill in their favorites). We remember our read alouds, our math units, our art projects for science and social studies... It's a big list, and then students get to work filling in their own favorites.
In past years I have had my students create this project with construction paper, but this year I wanted an easy template that was ready to print and go! After they have filled in their favorites, they decorate the ice cream with their favorite flavors, and then wrap up the activity.
What's included in this download:
*Pictures of samples from my own class
*Template with a Completed Sundae (6 blank spots to fill in)
*Templates of Ice Cream Scoops per grade level (K-8th) with subject names filled in.
*2 Bowl template versions ready for student names
I hope your kids love this project as much as mine!
