Use these editable Google Slides for independent writing in your classroom. I have used these for guided writing, mini lessons, and as stations in Daily 3 or 5, and my students did NOT want to stop. The prompts are highly engaging, and the google slides format makes it accessible for students, particularly those resistant to writing due to fine motor skills or lack of confidence in spelling, printing, punctuation, etc.
To share with your class, simply post the link provided in your Google Classroom, or email the link to all students. It will require them to make a copy, meaning no fuss for you. Google Slides prompts also makes assessment easy and paper-free (no more taking stacks of journals home).
Not into technology for writing? Print off the slides as individual pages and have students hand write the responses instead. My students have the choice of using the google slides, or writing the prompt in their journals!
Hope your students enjoy as much as mine did!
