Thanks for having a look at my products!
This is one of my many daily math warm-ups I use with my classroom.
It has a section where the whole fact is shown and another section where a part is missing from the fact. My children love this warm up because they think it is a game. Some times the whole class answers the missing part or I choose a side of the room/gender to answer the questions. Even when we moved on from rainbow facts they were still asking to play this 'game'.
I follow Anita Archers Explicit teaching model for verbal choral answers:I put up my hands to indicate silence and thinking time. Students are looking at the IWB.They read the slide and think about the answer.I lower my hands as I say the sum that was on the IWB.”
If you like this I will be uploading a bundle of all the rainbow fact warm ups I use. They include extensions to 20/100 and mixed numbers e.g. 56 +_ =60
