PERFECT FOR CREATING A FESTIVE FEEL IN YOUR CLASSROOM AND IDEAL FOR DEVELOPING FRENCH LANGUAGE SKILLS AS WELL AS PRACTICING AND REVISING FRENCH NUMBERS 0-31! 36 DIFFERENTIATED QUESIONS WITH RECORDING SHEET AND FULL ANSWER KEY!
FRENCH NUMBERS 0-31 CHRISTMAS TASK CARDS really do help to create a lively language learning environment. Students can develop, embed, reinforce and refresh their knowledge of FRENCH numbers in a cooperative, communicative and interactive way, independently of the teacher. They have a bonus multi-skill focus on listening, speaking, pronunciation, reading and spelling. They’re great for helping students familiarize themselves with, and develop competence in, speaking, reading, writing and spelling numbers in FRENCH. The cards are useful not only when you’re focusing on Numbers 0-31, but also as a starter, plenary and general ‘pick-me-up’ activity, as often as you can in lessons during the run-up to CHRISTMAS - the goal is not simply to learn how to count in FRENCH, but also to enjoy working with FRENCH, and to feel confident about doing so. The questions range in complexity and challenge, and are great for honing numeracy skills too - especially if calculators are not allowed! The questions and design provide lessons with a real festive
feel - I’ve included a mini-reference list to help students with their FRENCH CHRISTMAS words - one or two per small group of students is sufficient. The cards do look great printed in color, though I’ve also included a B&W version to help keep costs down.
The resource comprises the following 6 files:
* 2 sets of 36 task cards (color/B&W), 4 per A4 (8.5 x 11) paper. Print, laminate and cut out. Depending on how long you want the activity to last for, choose a particular number of cards per small group of students, and place them in a tin, bowl or small box so that students can easily select a card, and then replace at the end of the activity. You can simply place all the cards in the bowl/box and let students work their way through, either in a single lesson, or across a series of lessons - I’ve found 10-15 minutes across several lessons can work really well. Students do need to remember to file their recording sheets carefully!
* 2-page answer recording sheet (x2, color/B&W). Best printed double-sided.
* 2-page answer key (x2, color/B&W), again best printed double-sided, and laminated for longevity. One answer key for each small group is sufficient.
