♦ 2 emergent reader versions (the text is the same, but the tasks and focus are different).
- Version 1 (focus on WRITING): students see the picture, read the sentence and work with the focus word (JE). They’ll read the word, color it, trace it, spell it, and write it.
Total pages: cover + 5 half-pages
-Version 2 (focus on READING COMPREHENSION): students read the sentences, and cut and paste the pictures to match the sentences.
Total pages: cover + 7 half-pages (1 matching exercise + 5 pages with text and images for students to match)
♦ a "BIG BOOK" in color and B&W. The text is the same as in the half-page versions. The big book is great for shared reading or guided reading, and it can be added to your classroom library. There's also a version with reading dots ( = dots under each word to facilitate reading–students touch the dots as they read the words).
