This IR IPA includes an adapted article from Geo Ado and is meant for a French 1 class who is familiar with persevering through resources without knowing every single word or a French 2 class in a traditional setting. The file includes the adapted article with a word bank for important words/phrases students wouldn't have already encountered or been able to figure out in context as well as two pages of questions that follow the ACTFL IPA template. As per ACTFL, at this level all interpretive questions should be asked and answered in English to determine true interpretive ability.
To prepare my students for this assessment, we look at many various articles and infographics that talk about different types of families, percentages of family makeup, etc. in different Francophone countries.
