This file includes a 4 page file that encouraged students to ask good questions in French before, during, and after their reading. These questions can be applied to short stories, fiction and non-fiction texts, novels and all forms of written work.
The first page includes a table that can help students come up with questions using the starter words. Students choose one word from the first column and add a word from the top column to start their question. A few of the combinations are not grammatically correct so I greyed those ones out.
The second page encourages students to choose three of their questions and answer them.
The last two pages are intended to be used in your literacy center if you run them in your class. In one bag or box, place all of the purple labels from the third page of the file. In a different bag or box, place all of the yellow labels from the fourth page. At the center, students choose one purple tag and one yellow tag and have to write a question using those words. If the two pairs of words do not go together the student can choose another label. Students can also ask one another questions in pairs.
