FSL Lingo Blocks have been developed by experienced FSL teachers who understand what it is to teach a second language and the importance of hands-on materials in the learning process. These blocks are specially designed to teach such concepts as negatives, adjectival agreements, verb parts and sentence structure. Ivory or wooden blocks can be prohibitively expensive and for this reason, Dr. John Brownridge has developed a self-construction kit, for use with good quality card stock. Each kit makes 54 high quality blocks and, with assistance, students are able to construct the blocks themselves. Color-coded blocks and colored text are used to show gender, nouns, verbs and adjectives. An instruction sheet and a hints-for-teachers sheet is included with some ideas on how to use the blocks with your students.
