It is time to pass your FTCE exam!
If you are anything like me, I have been struggling for a year to pass several of my core tests and was finally able to do it after making my own study guide. After surviving the grueling portfolio that my district requires for all new teachers in the state of Florida, and spending so much time and energy on the general knowledge exams - it was time for me to take the Professional Education Exam and I was terrified!
I went online and purchased a huge book of practice questions just to find out that if I did not have a better understanding of the education terminology, I was not going to be able to understand half of the questions. Next, I tried buying some practice questions online that were more user friendly than the physical text but the tests only provided the answers and not explanations.
Finally, after attempting the Professional test (and not passing) I decided to use the information I had to formulate my own study guide that focused on the areas I needed help with to pass the test. I created this powerpoint with the intention of helping myself review for the test and it worked! I passed the test after studying and reviewing my own study guide and now want to share it with other struggling teachers that desperately want (and need) to pass this test!
I have provided a range of questions that cover all aspects of education.
Some sample questions that are covered:
How do I determine a child’s intelligence quotient?
What is the role of the paraeducator?
What is Deductive Reasoning?
How to define Intellectual freedom in education?
What are the critical elements of Direct Instruction?
What educational theory was promoted by John Dewey?
What learning approach can a new teacher use to keep her students actively involved in their learning?
What are Anecdotal Records?
What is a Manifest Determination Review?
What Principles of Professional Conduct for the Education Profession in Florida that prohibits a teacher from accepting a gratuity, gift, or favor that might influence professional judgment?
And so many more!!!
Use this 200 slide presentation to pass your test!.
If you like this powerpoint and would like to see more instructional powerpoints please give it 5 star rating!! Thank you so much for taking the time to look at my page and for the consideration of bringing my study guide into your education resource collection.
Please leave comments about the powerpoints to let me know how they're working for you! I tried to explain all the information and my process in detail, but if you have any questions, please post them here, too!
