Here are some suggested activities to do with a Charlotte's Web book study:

-PERSONAL FOLDER
This Charlotte's Web smart board presentation was used along with a folder full of work. This folder included the weekly vocabulary, chapter comprehension questions, prediction pages, character webs, and pre-reading sheets. This was the student personal folder to keep their Charlotte's web book and all other work that we completed.
-VOCABULARY FOLDABLES
For the vocabulary in this smart board presentation I had the students create their own foldables each week with the words. The students write the word on the front, definition inside, draw a picture and create a personal sentence for the word. I let several students share their sentences to the class.
-VOCABULARY MOVEMENTS
Students better remember their vocabulary when it is put with movements or emotions. After two-four chapters of vocabulary I have the students get into groups. I assign each group one of the many words to create a movement for to teach the whole class. After about 5 minutes I let each group share. All students are standing during activity to increase engagement. After we go through all the words for the last couple chapters we practice each week after that, in line and at random times during the day.

+Character studies-Learning character trait words and how the characters develop
+Read in groups, independently and cloze read as a whole group with teacher
+Do interactive word webs with plot, setting and characters. Also, complete an interactive word web for character traits.
