This pack gained an Outstanding in a recent observation. It goes through the poems about London written by Blake and Wordsworth, invites students to think about the ideas in each portrayal of the city. Students then split off into analysis groups and look at different aspects of the two poems,with work cards included on the slideshow, finally leading to the plenary. Some poem annotation is also provided and students can contribute to these when it's projected on-screen. You always get very different results from the image discussions and it's a focused way to explore English 'classic' poems.
