This is a center activity I created based on one of my favorite childhood toys. It includes a student recording sheet for students to write the senseless sentences they create by putting the color-coded words in order. I also included a blank page if you would like to write in the students names as the subjects for sentences or any other verbs, adjectives, or direct objects.
Print as many copies of the sentence templates as desired. Print and cut out words.
Suggestion: Laminate for durability.
Put the words into piles sorted by color. Choose one word from each color and place it on your sentence strip. Read the senseless sentence. LAUGH. Record your sentences on your paper and share them with friends.
Illustrate a sentence on the back of your paper.
