How Ten Ball Works:
-Split class into teams of 2-4 people
-Each team needs a mini-whiteboard or a piece of paper for their answers
-Every team starts off with 10 lives. I put 10 X's on the board representing their lives in the game.
-There are five rounds. For each round, teams will decide to add lives or take away lives from other teams. (There are different options for each round.)
-Show the question for the round. I set a timer for about 30 seconds for each question. Once the timer goes off, each team should hold up their answers. If they get it right, they can add or take away lives depending on the round.
This is a great, engaging game. It combines math and game strategy (some might even form alliances), and students always leave math smiling!
