Need a place value game for your math centers? Face Off is a great game that hits three of the math Common Core standards. In this game, students play with a partner to determine who has the largest number. Students take turns flipping over two ten frames to add together. The student with the highest number wins the round and the student with the most cards at the end wins!
Face Off can also be used to compare numbers once students learn greater than/less than/equal to. Greater than/less than/equal to symbols are included in the game.
Once students are comfortable with determining the highest number, switch it up and have the student with the lowest number win! This is a great game that is easy for students to learn and provides a fun way to practice adding and comparing numbers.
This is a great game for enriching above grade-level kindergarteners or below grade-level second graders.
