This simple ingredient visual recipe is great for a cooking group lesson, or as a supplemental activity for an "All About Me" or "Body Parts" themed unit, or for discussing body parts(eyes, nose, mouth, hair, skin), or to target following directions, fine motor, sequencing and recalling information goals.
-5 visual steps for the recipe
-a tasting checklist
-comprehension page/worksheet (different levels of answering: 1 page with choices and 1 page without choices) to review the activity.
Instructions (also included in the download): Print, Laminate and cut the pages in half on the black line. Then, hole punch the pages and put them on a key ring so they are easy to flip through during a cooking group lesson. Use the tasting checklist to encourage students to try the new snack foods.
Extension Activity ideas:
-Have students reflect on their activity using the half page, “Face Snack Review” worksheet
-Take each step/direction page off of the key ring and have students practice putting them in the correct order/sequence and retell the directions.
