Included is a template for your students to share what they learned about their character in the text.
This activity helps students demonstrate understanding of how a character reacts to events or challenges in a story. It works iwth standard ELA2RL.3 (Describe how characters in a story respond to major events and challenges).
Students can use the ‘What’s on your character’s mind?’ boxes to share how characters reacted to an event in the story by sharing what they did, thought, felt, or said in the story.
On the left, students can also use what they’ve learned about their character to fill in what they think their character’s favorite things are. At the bottom, they can share 2 of the character’s friends and why they are friends.
