Do you need a way to let your students share traits of characters in their reading? Included is a template for your students to share what they learned about their character in the text.
This activity helps students demonstrate understanding of standard ELA3RL3 Describe characters in a story (e.g., their traits, motivations, or feelings) and explain how their actions contribute to the sequence of events.
Students can use the ‘What’s on your character’s mind?’ boxes to share 3 of their character’s traits and how they demonstrated that trait.
On the left, students can also use what they’ve learned about their character to fill in what they think their character’s favorite things are. At the bottom, they can share 2 of the character’s friends and why they are friends.
