This is a PowerPoint that steps the teacher and class through the entire conversation lesson around the topic of social networks.
In this lesson the activities follow:
1. Introduction to Facebook and some interesting features (such as language choice, famous people's profiles, groups and games)
2. As a class, students conduct research on the class' opinion about Facebook and Social Networks. There are duplicates of each 'research question' i.e. if there are 18 students, then 9 different research questions exist. Individually, students walk around the class and question their classmates. After this, the students form pairs based on their question and combine their findings, using comparative language as well as creating a graph.
3. Different quotes about Social Networks are shown and the class discusses if they agree or disagree.
4. Students are shown sentences written in 'text speak' and have to translate these into English.
