Facing Sudan Lesson Plans

Facing Sudan is an award-winning documentary that explores the situation in Sudan, both in South Sudan and Darfur. This lesson plan booklet contains activities designed to increased student understanding of the issues surrounding Sudan and of genocide in general. Most of the activities are stand-alone and do not require viewing of the movie.

There is a song interpretation activity, a Sudan map and timeline activity, plus an activity using a drawing by a child who had fled the violence in Darfur. Plus, there is a Facing Sudan anticipation guide and viewing sheet as well.
