This is an activity to be used during first and second grade math centers. After fact families have been introduced in the classroom, students can use this center to independently create 4 equations using 3 numbers.
This product can be used in a couple different ways:
1) Laminate the number cards and a few Fact Family sheets. If an adult is running a center, there may not be a need for students to record their work. Place a piece of velcro on each rectangle on the Fact Family sheet and on the back of each number card. Students match the numbers to a space on the Fact Family sheet to create 4 equations that make sense.
2) Print a class set of the Fact Family sheets. Cut and laminate the number cards. When at the center, students can manipulate the laminated number cards to create equations. Students then record the numbers in the correct positions.
This product is editable. Please keep in mind this product is only 2 pages. You may use it for a template for whatever fact family you are working with in your classroom. To differentiate, you can have different groups working on different fact families.
