The first page is a bulletin board or center sign for an assigned fact family. The next 7 pages are various fact family manipulatives mats. The children will use the assigned fact family, or come up with one by using a domino, dice, etc. to obtain the two addends, which they will write with a dry erase marker or crayon into the squares on a laminated mat. In the upper left hand corner of each mat, a suggested artistic representation, such as adding dots to the lady bug is given. This can be done with either dry erase, playdoh, or manipulatives such as pom poms, counting cubes, etc. The artistic representation can then be used to assist in filling out the final graphic and the fact family equations. They can also be printed out in black/white to act as worksheets.
