This board is an excellent resource that can help children understand fact families whether in centers or working independently. Choose a triangular flash card and copy it on the board. Then write the fact family. Pages 1 and 2 are in color and page 3 is black and white. Since I like the board to match the colors of my triangular flash cards, students can color page 3 to match the triangular cards that you use in your classroom. Just remember to update the colors in the "Remember" box in the top left corner of the board. This can be used over and over by placing it in a plastic sheet protector or by laminating it. You can also turn it into a game. Roll 2 dice or spin a spinner twice. Put one number in the bottom left corner oval and put the other number in the bottom right corner oval. Then add to find the sum which will be placed in the top oval. Then students write the fact family in the middle.
