Here is a fun, Halloween-themed game to play to practice identifying fact and opinion!
I printed these off on orange paper, cut out the little pumpkins, and hung the large "Fact" and "Opinion" pumpkins on opposing walls of my classroom. I then crumpled the small pumpkins and put them in a basket. I asked my students to each draw one "pumpkin" out of the basket. Students are then allowed to toss their "pumpkins" at each other for 1 minute (like a snowball fight). At the end of the minute, students pick up a pumpkin close to them, open it, and go to the side of the room where they think their "pumpkin" belongs: is it a fact or an opinion? Watch out - some of these are tricky! I have included a key for teacher reference.
