I created this worksheet to accompany Lakeshore's Reading Comprehension Activity Centers. It goes with the fact and opinion activity about a boy named Mark. Students will be able to identify and note the facts and opinions of events in the short passage. They will answer questions about the passage to test their understanding. I have my students work in their center group. They read the story twice together and then take turns sorting the information into the pocket chart. Then they answer the questions on the worksheet. It takes them about 30 mins. (Third grade). There is also an "essay" question similar to the NYS ELA (3rd) where they have to provide support for their answers using details from the text. I have included both the questions and the answers. The link below shows you the Lakeshore Activity these worksheets go with.
