This contains two centers/ activities that can be used as independent work after direct instruction.
The two games are:
1. A board game called "Feed Mother Spider": Mother Spider has grown hungry, and in order to get her the fly she need you must go through her spiderlings (baby spiders) that recently hatched. To move spaces you must first draw a card that informs you whether to say a fact, opinion, skip a turn, move ahead one space, or move back one space. You can also move ahead when you say a fact or opinion. They also record eachothers facts and opinions in a fact and opinion booklet! This has been made so it does not neccisarily have to be spider facts. I did it with my kids where they used their animal research facts and opinions they have done.
2. Fact and Opinion Spider Fact Sort: Get the Spider back to the right web!! There is a fact web, and a opinion web. Also a recording sheet is provided to put down answers.
My kids loved doing both of these as centers. I think the best was when they did the feed my spider they got to share fact and opinions about the animal they were researching. They are also begging me for more board games to be made.... So if see more of those popping up on here that's why!
