This interactive lesson provides students with a hands-on activity to learn how to find the factors of a number.
The ‘Factor Rainbows’ are an organized way for students to dissect a number to find all of its factors. The rainbow visual also enables students to differentiate between prime and composite numbers. In previous years, this skill/concept was difficult for me to teach but the ‘Factor Rainbows’ have helped tremendously!
This product includes:
- A procedures page, including the Common Core Standard, step-by-step directions, a photo example and a proficiency scale for students to reflect upon the lesson.
- A ‘Factor Rainbow’ template
*This lesson is a part of an Interactive Math Journal that I use in my classroom but can be used as a single lesson as well. Check out my store for more interactive lessons!
