This is a quick in-class exercise on Factor and Remainder theorem worksheet with additional exercise. Teacher can use this while teaching the section. It includes definition of the two theorem.
Students would use the remainder theorem to find the remainder when a polynomial is divided by x-a without performing any long or synthetic division. Students should note that when f(a) =0, then x-a is a factor of such polynomial when they were presented with the factor theorem. Then, students would use the results from the remainder theorem exercise in the factor theorem exercise.
Students have additional exercise after the brief introduction of these two theorem.
