This is an Algebra 1 Common Core Lesson on factoring completely. This is the first of two lessons. Students will investigate to recognize that an expression is not always factored completely after one type of factoring. Then, students will be guided through how to factor completely using detailed steps. Four whole class examples are provided with answers. After the four teacher led examples, students will practice on their own, in pairs, partners, or in groups with 18 additional examples!
