These activity pages are beneficial in teaching and mastering the factoring of a number.
This activity page involves the following:
•Finding the factors of the following numbers: 18, 21, 42, 30, 28 and 16
•using the divisibility rules attached to factor numbers
•cutting and pasting the factors out that go with each number in the correct candy bag
Your students can color the candy and candy bags if you or they like.
I have my students cut out the divisibility rules and paste in their notebooks. I attached a side-by-side copy so that you can save your teacher copies.
I check my students understanding of the concept by them using and finding the factors by asking themselves divisibility rules. For example, is the number even? If so, 2 has to be a factor of the number.
They factor each candy bag number on page 1 and use that information to fill the candy bags.
