These guided notes are a great way to help your algebra students learn how to use synthetic division to factor polynomials completely. Includes factoring polynomials of degree 3 and higher. The study guide starts with a review of factoring quadratic expressions by using guess-and-check or the Quadratic Formula. Next, the Rational Root Theorem is introduced and students learn how to identify possible rational roots and test them with synthetic division to find factors of the polynomial.
Use with whole-class instruction or have students use the FREE online lesson to fill out the study guide on their own! Check out the online lesson to see the detailed information and examples that are included in the study guide.
