This activity contains eight word problems, four for each partner. Students write an equation, factor it, solve it by using the zero product property, and then use the information to answer the question. The problems can be used for practice, as a review, or as a math center. Problems 3 and 4 for Partner A are slightly more difficult, making this a perfect opportunity to differentiate instruction. Be sure that Partner A is a student who is ready for the extra challenge of linking perimeter and area. An answer key is included.
