This activity combines factoring quadratics and solving quadratics of the form ax^2+bx+c when a=1. Students will see several examples of Perfect Square Trinomials, Difference of Two Squares, and factoring the GCF patterns. There are also several examples that can't be factored. There is also a bonus slide of 4 problems that will challenge even your most advanced students!
This is a task card activity. I like to give each group of 4 students a set of task cards. I set the timer and give them 4 minutes to answer each problem and discuss the problems together!
Worked out solution key is included.
