Factoring Quadratics - Match the Factors to the Quadratics!
Students must match pairs of factors from the first table so that they multiply to make the quadratics in the second table. In reality, the only way to do this is to factor the quadratics first.
You might also want to follow this activity up in future lessons with these factorising quadratics starter cards
, which could be used as entrance or exit slips to help students continually use and remember how to factor quadratics.
I also have a set of activities on using area diagrams
to help students learn to factorise, that you might want to use in addition to this resource.
