These cards can be used in a variety of ways! Use as single sets or together. You can print multiple sets and have students work in groups or allow students to work individually when time allows. If using more than one set at a time, I like to print on different colored paper to easily identify the sets.
The quadratics cards are numbered from 1-20. None of the quadratics have a GCF and all have 'a' values greater than 1 that are prime numbers.
Each binomial factor is on a single card, so students must find the two cards to properly factor each quadratic. The binomial factors are labeled with letters. There are some quadratics that have the same factors, so there are duplicate lettered cards as needed.
Answer key provided. It works best to have students write down or display the numbered cards in order then write the corresponding letters beside the number (this will make it faster and easier to check)!
-Students can be put in teams to determine which team can match all the factors correctly first.
-Each student in the class can get a card with quadratic and they must find their match.
-The cards can be placed at the front of the room and students must take one, factor it, then return to find the factors.
The possibilities are endless!
