This test is designed for the beginning quadratics unit in Algebra 1 or as a refresher for Algebra 2. The test is organized into the following standards:
--Students can identify whether a binomial is a difference of two squares or not and can factor a difference of squares as the product of two binomials.
--Students can determine if a trinomial is a perfect square trinomial and can factor perfect square trinomials into the product of two binomials.
--Students can factor a trinomial in the form x^2+bx+c as the product of two binomials.
--Students can factor out the greatest common factor (GCF) from a polynomial and can factor out the GCF from the polynomial.
--Students can solve quadratic equations by factoring if the quadratic is a difference of squares, perfect square trinomial, or has a GCF that can be factored out, or is a trinomial in the form x^2+bx+c.
The questions include easy and basic questions, intermediate questions, and an extension question in every section.
This test could also be used as a worksheet if desired.
