This powerpoint file is a scavenger hunt. Students factor each problem, then find the answer somewhere else to get the next problem. Shapes are used to identify the problems. It is a great alternative to another boring worksheet.
The scavenger hunt includes the following: GCF, a=1, a>1, perfect squares, and perfect cubes. (There are only two cubes.)
I print this out and hang it up around the room or in the hallway. I recommend dividing the students into small groups, so they are not all starting in one spot. Students are required to show some work and write the answer next to the shape on their paper.
