This activity requires students to identify how a parabola opens and identify the y-intercept from a quadratic in standard form. Then it requires students to factor and solve the quadratic to identify the x-intercepts. Lastly, it has students cut out the correct graph based on the information they have obtained and glue it down next to the quadratic problem. Teacher and Student directions included!
This activity uses the different vocabulary words that students must know including x-intercepts, zeros, roots, and solutions. Students enjoy cutting and pasting instead of just doing a worksheet! Important Note: The graph choices are hand drawn on graph paper. They were not produced electronically. Also, the graph choices are duplicated two in one page to save on paper. Each student only needs one set of graphs.
