I use this is the third worksheet for teaching my Algebra students how to factor trinomials. This worksheet has them expand expressions as well as factor, to see that one process is the "inverse" of the other.
For an example of what I mean by an area model, please hover over thumbnail 2: you'll notice that the products of the diagonals are equal.
I use this activity within cooperative groups, and I circulate to make sure they are getting the purpose of the questions.
The file includes spiral review problems.
This worksheet is intended for students to show their work on a separate sheet of paper.
Please download the pdf preview file first, so you can see exactly what's included; the product file is a word document, which you may personalize for your students.
