In this escape room, your students are the little pigs trying to find shelter from the big bad wolf. Can they break-in to the brick house before it's too late? Students will factor trinomials with a lead coefficient of 1 to solve the puzzles.
I know that escape rooms can be expensive to create for the classroom, but not this one. You will only need letter size envelopes (30-40) and 4 acrylic frames (I found suitable ones at a dollar store). I even include prizes so you don't need to purchase those either.
Included in this purchase:
Envelope covers for each envelope.
3 hint cards for each group.
Instruction cards for each puzzle.
3 'doors' the students will need to unlock.
1 optional door the students may unlock to earn extra time. These problems are more challenging.
Higher level students: I allow my higher level students 40 minutes to complete the escape room.
Lower level students: I allow my lower level students 80 minutes (a block class or 2 traditional classes) to complete the escape room.
**Please note that there is a lot of prep in getting this escape room ready for the classroom. You will need to cut out the materials and I strongly suggest laminating them so you can use them year to year.
