**We have just begun to offer our 4 x4 puzzles, including this one, in a computer format. The computer puzzles take out the prep work involved and can be used as a computer lab activity, or just to supplement the paper versions and to show an example in the front of the room. The computer version can be found here: Computer Math Puzzles – Factoring and FOIL Method. The printable PDF's are also included with the computer version.**
A great activity for students learning either the foil method or factoring with a leading coefficent of one. The puzzle can be completed either way. This activity is also ideal for a review for students who have already taken Algebra I. This puzzles includes a trinomial and the corresponding factored form that students must match up to complete the puzzle. A few of the problems are repeated so that students have to use their inductive reasoning skills to correctly finish the puzzle.
Roman numerals are included in the middle of the pieces so that a teacher can quickly check if the student is correct.
Your purchase includes a PDF file of the puzzle. Although it isn't necessary for use, it is recommended you print the puzzle on cardstock and have it laminated prior to cutting it out so it can last for years to come.
