A great activity for students learning either the foil method or factoring with a leading coefficent greater than one. The puzzle can be completed either way. This activity is also ideal for a review for students who have already taken Algebra I. This puzzle includes a trinomial and the corresponding factored form that students must match up to complete the puzzle.
Two versions of the puzzle are included. One does not have trinomials/factored forms around the outside of the puzzle making completing the puzzle easier. The other version has a few of the problems repeated so that students have to use their inductive reasoning skills to correctly finish the puzzle. You can differentiate amongst ability groups with the two versions of the puzzle.
Roman numerals are included in the middle of the pieces so that a teacher can quickly check if the student is correct.
Your purchase includes a PDF file of the puzzle. Although it isn't necessary for use, it is recommended you print the puzzle on cardstock and have it laminated prior to cutting it out so it can last for years to come.
