Product Description
54 Questions Total! Solutions included.

This is an follow-up worksheet for factoring to be used with students who are improving in their factoring skills and are ready for the next step.

The questions in this worksheet use both positive and negative numbers for factors, but will only contain questions whose product is a number with 8 or less factors.

This helps students get practice factoring with a limited difficulty. By limiting the number of factors, students will be less likely to miss factors and give up on a question due to increased difficulty. This will help students figure out the different number combinations to increase their factoring speed.

Ex:

x^2+11x+24

Two numbers that multiply to give 24 but add to give 11.

Candidates: 1 and 24, 2 and 12, 3 and 8, 4 and 6.

These worksheets should be offered as "extra practice" and not as a sole source of practice. Students should have their factoring skills refined and assessed through different lessons and teaching styles in order to balance the needs of all students.

Advanced students will find this worksheet simple. Please see other worksheets for more difficult sets of questions. These worksheets are coming soon. Questions include:

-Advanced difficulty: Questions where a!=1, (c-value limited to 144).

-Review: Variety of questions of all difficulties including difference of squares.

* If you have a specific request for a worksheet, please let me know! I can increase the number of questions, the maximum allowed product (all under 100 for this document) and the types of questions.
