Remember the days when we given the Multiplication Table and told to learn it, by heart? Nowadays we realize the problem with this method and now focus on teaching students STRATEGIES they can apply to all multiplication problems. I’ve learned so much more about math teaching third and fourth grade than I ever learned all the way through college.
In this packet of activities, I’ve given three different strategies to help your students learn how to solve and understand multiplication problems on their own. Factors Multiples and Arrays will give them the tools they need to be successful in their mathematical future.
Included in this packet are the following:
Classroom posters (1 each for Factors, Multiples, and Arrays)
Factor Activities including worksheet and game
Array homework and worksheet ideas
Array word problems
Multiplication tables (blank and filled)
Multiples word problems
